MECHANICS OF TRANQUILLITY
Mechanics of Tranquillity is a large two-screen film installation immersing the viewer into the world of archer Travis Bower. Shot on 16mm, we follow him wandering through the mountainous Canadian Rockies, shooting volley’s of arrows into a dead tree stumps. He moves from one stump to the next, from one valley to the other. Again and again. A deep rhythm slowly reveals itself.
DISQUIET
Disquiet by Istvan Hutter explores the resurgence of the absurd in contemporary popular culture and social media as coping mechanism for the pervasive anxiety experienced my millennials and subsequent generations.
