One of Utrecht’s highly anticipated events, Smeerboel Festival, is finally making a come back after the 2020 and 2021 edition being cancelled due to COVID-19. Smeerboel Festival’s return is the biggest edition to date, on the old asphalt plant on Graswijde Papendorp. Elevation Events has made sure to organise a diverse festival with beloved music across multiple genres, bound to make anyone dance.
Smeerboel Festival 2022 presents a total of 6 stages, one of which we’re hosting: BASIS, De Central, David Vunk & Friends, Disko Disko x Bacardi, Singlefesstje and Terug Naar Toen. This year marks the first return of the BASIS stage at Smeerboel. BASIS has curated an unforgettable line-up with some of BASIS’s long time friends, fan favourites and artists that best match Smeerboel’s eclectic energy. Standing the test of time, the current line-up is actually the original 2020 line-up curation; we anticipate this stage to be packed with diehard bass lovers.

BASIS will be also hosting the official Smeerboel Festival afterparty from 23:00 onwards. The afterparty line-up will satiate your sonorous cravings. Remco Beekwilder will return from the stage at Smeerboel to BASIS, along side with Ukranian artists Daria Kolosova and Illiya Korniyenko. For the first time, SEMMUS is making his debut at BASIS as the opening act. Expect thrilling and relentless techno served to elevate your post-festival needs this Saturday night.
